River Fork Ranch Trail

Jim Woods will lead "Birding Under Nevada Skies" on Genoa Lane on Friday and Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m. This is a free walking/hiking tour (no tickets or reservations Pocket Guide to Birds of the Sierra Foothillsrequired). Jim will help identify birds common to ranch land in the Carson Valley, plus the occasional surprise feathered visitor. Everyone is encouraged to bring binoculars and cameras; to wear comfortable layers of clothing, good hiking shoes, sun screen and hats; to carry water containers and snacks as needed.

**NOTE: The tour is about a 2 mile hike (round trip) on dirt roads and dirt paths. Be prepared for muddy or dusty conditions.** Please arrive a little before 8 a.m. to prepare and check in with Jim for the tour.
